When people first read NODAAN, they see “No Daan.” And perhaps that is where the journey begins. We must say no to charity that weakens dignity. No to help that unintentionally creates imbalance. No to giving that creates silent hierarchy. Over the years, I have seen generosity everywhere — but I have also seen how even good intentions can sometimes diminish self-respect. In our culture, AAN is sacred — honour, pride, identity. NOD AAN was born from one conviction: Help must never make someone feel small. From No Daan to Nod AAN. From Charity to Dignity. This is not charity. This is restoration. This is dignity in action.
